Iconic sportswear brand Kappa, has collaborated with Marcelo Burlon, the ‘County of Milan’ designer.
The collaboration is a perfect fusion of the two Italian brands. Casual sportswear silhouettes feature strong surface graphics that include Burlon’s non-textual logo, interlaced with the familiar Kappa symbol, creating an ideal blend of both brands identities.
The logo takes centre stage and is a key motif used throughout the collection. Classic sportswear items such as polyester tracksuits, embroidered sweatshirts and t-shirts are available for both menswear and womenswear. A colour palette of black, red and military green, compliment the collaboration logo, which is embroidered and used on taping for side seams. Burlon previewed the collaborative collection at his Fall/Winter 2017-18 catwalk show, giving the audience a first glimpse at this upcoming collaboration.
Kappa’s sportswear style is very well suited to Burlon’s harder-edge approach to street wear, despite the bright red, the collection still has that recognisable dark undertone. Raglan sleeve t-shirts give a slightly oversized feel and help draw attention to logo and taping.
When will the collaboration be available to buy?
The collection is available for Pre-Order now on Marcelo Burlon and will be officially released in June.
