Trendstop introduce three key footwear themes for the Women’s, Men’s and Active Spring Summer 2021 season. SS21 focuses on the importance of shape and form as designers experiment with architectural upper silhouettes and sole profiles. Premium quality, luxury finishes, and craftsmanship are important in the elevation of everyday summer styles, while performance and comfort are a key consideration as designers utilise ultra-lightweight materials. Sustainability is an underlying core value throughout the manufacturing chain.

Women’s – The Square Toe Sandal

Toe and insole profiles are becoming even more extreme, sharply squared-off heels and toes give a nod to the strong lines of architecture. Uppers and straps are high cut and scooped, playing into the designer 90s-inspired trend.

Men’s – The Premium Outdoor Sandal

The classic outdoor sandal is elevated via more refined forms, premium quality materials and considered detailing. Suede finishes and concealed fastenings bring sophistication to previously rugged outdoor styles.

Sports – Translucent Overlays

Sheer translucent overlays lend a flyweight feel to streamlined sports footwear. Fine mesh panelled uppers contrast with chunky moulded sole units while all-white colourways with small scale colour accents enhance featherlight qualities.
